I am building an ebb and flo system for my vegetative room. I bought two 20x26 plastic containers ($15 each @ container store). It is about 6 inches high that I will use for the resorvoir and the tray. I installed the inlet and drain fittings from the hydroponic store and hooked up the pump. So far so good.
My question is I noticed on the commercial expensive trays that there are slots in the bottom that raise the roots for more surface area coverage. Anyone have any good suggestions to get that done in the homemade setup? I was thinking of square plastic grate from home depot. Thanks!!!
