rainbird irrigation systems

anyone ever use rainbird irrigation systems for a aero setup? for some reason my 300gph pump barely pumps water through them, kinda like a drip system, but they are 180 degree spray heads, not drippers

How many heads are you trying to run at one time? How many gph are the spray heads? But a 300 gph pump you should be pumping some water. How is the heads hooked up to the pump?Need more infor to help you better.PEACE

i have a drip irrigation set up. it looks like those manifolds are restricting the water to 2 gph instead allowing full flow then restricting at the dripper at the end of the tubing. whats the overhead of your pump? maybe your trying to pump it past its overhead point?

That multi system is exactly the problem, it's designed for a drip system...sprinkler heads will run straight off the pump, make sure not to excede I believe 25-30psi. I'm not familiar with the rainbird piece but maybe it can be opened remove the internals and cap it back up and then it can be used as a simple 6 port manifold?

Your 300gph pump should be around 30psi.

Yes sloeginfizz I for got that theres a filter screen and a rubber diaphragm inside the manifold. You unscrew it and remove the filter & diaphragm and you will have the volume of water you need. Heres some pixs of it pull-a-part and removing the filter.it just unscrews and thats it.This one is a four zone with a flow rate: 6gph:operating pressure:10-80PSI.Hope this helps.PEACE
