Howdy all ,hope everyone is doing good .wish everyone a great thanksgiving . As to the r2 i got came from a guy known as resin farmer many years ago from new brunswick ca. He said it was a clone only strain and he crossed our swamp skunk (2002) into it and sent me back seeds ive used it in several strains as its a great structure, mold resistant early to mid sept finish. Some are skunky some are fruity .we just crossed the emerald mountain "Royal kush " into the original seeds i had left sent to me from new brunswick for a real sticky stinky skunky strain that does hreat here in coastal maine .

Good to see you still grinding out there sir. I have a few of your original beans in my bag here and often think about popping them again. :) Hope all is well and Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey guys. I live in NB Can, grew up here and have been romantically involved with R2 since very early on like 1998 when i first saw it.
I just returned to the homeland back in 2018 and i have been tracking down the old real R2 for 3 years now. In my talks with both private and commercial breeders and regional black market juggernauts from back in the day, I have learned that R2 is a completely accidental cross that happened in french NB in the late 90's, and within a few years It was actually for sure crossed with a unknown skunk strain just like getaway said back in the early 00's and THAT variant of R2 became famous and is the one everyone knows. THE PIC I HAVE ATTACHED is that R2. (The first R2 nobody knows about x insane skunk hybrid) that getaway is talking about. We call this "Relic R2" now to distinguish it from all the whack r2r2, r2d2, r2skunk, garlicR2, tidal boar and shitty R2 in the area. Only 4 people have handled this cutting since 2000-2002 including myself and the guy who gave it to me, who himself got it from the point of origin in the early 00's.

Lots of shitty “R2” and related crosses floating around southern NB last few years...such is the ongoing problem these days of hacked crosses of once good genetics. The legendary R2 strain has lost a lot of traction because of this.

Has anyone else noticed that nl2 is really sensitive to nitrogen? I grow organically and they’ll start to claw before any other strain.
