Quick Scrog question

I am in the middle of growing out some sweet pink grapefruit clones that I recently got.
I am planning on doing a scrog with them, which I have tried to read as much as possible about.
So I have my clones going, they were really fresh when I got them so there wasn't much new growth for the first week. Now they are starting to take off so I need to get prepared to set up the screen for them to grow into.

I have two choice for nets, I have this very open metal screen that has big holes, like 2x4 I think.
I also have some plastic netting that is white with about 2x2 holes, but the plastic is kind of wide which I don't know if it would matter as far as blocking light?
Its basically the stuff some construction sites use to fence off an area.

So 1 I dont know which of those 2 options to use, I dont want to buy an entire roll of 2x2 chicken wire for my small 3x4 grow.

Ok so when the plants grow up and through whichever netting, do take them from the square they are in, and bend them over into the one next to it and under. So it curves over the top of the netting.

Or do you pull it completely under the netting and then just slant it \ and make it go to a square a few holes over?

Sorry if that doesn't make sense.
I added a picture of my clones the day after I got them.. They were a little sad, looking much better now!

Thanks for all the help!

Use the plastic netting. Pull new growth back down through, and move it to a new " hole ". Use ties only if needed. Start flowering when screen is 40-60% filled in depending on how much stretch the strain goes through.
