quick question

been growin my single plant for about 4 months now, started out indoors, my cat roughed it up a bit but it recovered and grew like hell till now, its about 2 feet high, plenty of leaves, but i was trying to look for some flowering but i havent seen any as of yet... I'm wondering how long could it take for it to go female or male... ive had it for so long i was expecting a little somethin to show up at least, ive heard of 12/12 day/nodaylight supposedly making the plant show its sex, but its not the summer solstice yet, so thats my only thought.. its been growing outside for most of its growth... the seed came from jamaica and i have no idea what strain it was other than from what i smoked it was mostly sativa, and by far my most favorite smoke, so i'm really hoping to either get a good yield from this plant by the end of the summer or at least a few seeds to save for later attempts at growing... any ideas to when it might show sex?

if you keep it outside it wont show its sex until late august when the daylight shortens hence the 12/12 light cycle.

humm well, that plant looks a bit to yellowish to me. Maybe try and get some nutrients.... an all purpose would do fine. 20-20-20

Next, well if the plant is a male, you wont get any seeds : ( I think your forgeting how a seed is made. The male pollinates the female. You will just get pollen sacks if this is a male.

Next, if it is a female, you wont get any seeds either, so I suggest you start reading up on cloning. If you dont know what im talking about, go to FAQS and read up a bit. I would highly reccomend doing this before your plant starts to flower. This will give you a gurenteed female plant, and you wont have to start from seed.

Last thing, if it has stopped growing then tehre could be a problem. How big is the container its in? It could be rootbound, or maybe something else. Do you PH? Do you give it any nutes?

and last thing, you should be able to see Preflowers now, and those can give you an idea if its goign to be male or female. Read FAQS under sexing.

ah its not yellow thats just the lighting from the camera, ive been giving it miracle grow sticks, i wasnt very serious about this plant at first but now its beginning to interest me more and more... thanks for the info tho i will probably try cloning it, and if its a guaranteed female all the better im still kinda confused tho, i thought all plants had male or female parts just the expressed one greater than the other.... well whatever not that important as long as it grows to a female
