Alright I have 4 plants under a 400w mh/hps. They r around 5 wks old and LST'd so their just over 1 ft. tall and my lights 16 in. above my plant tops.. I just bought 2 100w CFL's.. How much do you think this would help??? Thx for the help..

If you have not bought them yet, go for blue CFL's (veg). MJ loves both spectrums during flowering.

However, CLF's don't "reach" far and have very poor penetration, so covering all 4 plants might be tricky.
So you might not gain much, but if money is no issue...

Yea I already bought them.. Their 5000K, thats more in the blue spectrum right??? I'm not gonna try covering all 4 plants just a couple spots.. Would it be worth it in the long run, considering the electricity???

Yes, 5000 Kelvin sounds great (typical blue CFL is 6500 Kelvin).

Regarding yield, I don't believe a couple CFL's, added in late flowering, will do much for you. But I'm just guessing.

Personally, I would have used 250 Watt MH in addition to your 400 watt HPS. You're already talking about 200 watts CFL, you might as well make those watts effective (going for the HID option). But that's just my opinion.

wish i could get the 400 mh but moneys tight... thanks for all yalls input.. yeah i know the cfl's aren't that good, but 1750 lumens will help if i shine it on the underpart right??? When should I flower u think?? heres my babies
