Quick Question for Lighting

I have a space thats 3 feet tall, 2 feet wide and a foot deep... what kind of lighting do i need for that??? would one 150 watt hps work?

also another question if i put the lights stationary at the top will i need boxes to put the plants on to get them closer to the lights?

the 150 would work, but have you taken into account the heat HID lights give off, and do you have a way to vent the room or light, to help control temp issues in that small of a space? If not you may be better to go with flourescent lighting,if thats the case get some nice 24" t-5's...Some people may even suggest using cfls, which would work ok, I'm just not a fan, and cant endorse something that I wasnt happy with the final results.

Yes, you will either need to be able to move the light down, or the plants up, if not they could stretch to much.

Im thinking of putting in computer fans and vents to cool, if that wont be enough then i can go with flourescent lighting but whats a 24" t-5's, sorr im new to this.

any examples online or pics?
