Quick question about starting seeds

I'm sure that this has been answered a thousand times but i couldnt find many specifics.
What would be the best thing to start seeds in that are going into DWC? I have some rock wool plugs for clones but wasn't sure how they would work to sprout seeds.
Any info is appreciated Thanks

I have seen people use rockwool plugs before with success. :hump:

I used RW before with good results, But then found out about Rapid rooter and they are great and bout the same price they are kinda like organic sponges and are dark so no algae can grow on them, check this out they are great http://www.planetnatural.com/site/rapid-rooter.html

Yep I have those as well, those are great I use them for meh soil clones. Just put them in my pot of soil and bury em. Im sure they would work great on dro.

they do work great on dro after the roots show through lay it on a layer of hydroton pellets in a net pot then fill in around the RR with more pellets and drop it in a bubble bucket

Can rapid rooters fit into a 3" net pot with hydroton? that rapid rooter looks really big for a 3" net pot with hydroton. Also will rapid rooters affect PH later on in your grow? I know you have to take certain steps with rockwool, but with rapid rooters how well does it affect your PH?

Awesome Thanks all ill probably pick up some rapid rooters, read a bit about them but its always better to get some first hand knowledge from peeps who have been there and done that lol.
On a side note i just got 10 blackjack seeds from nirvana today in the mail so ill have to get a journal going in a couple weeks for those bad bitches. :weed:

not with hydroton. I use the small ones just to hold them till roots start then put the RR into a 5in net pot then into the bubble bucket and if the roots come through the 3in pot ill put the 3in pot with the plant in a 5 or 6 in pot with hydroton. the Rapid Rooter plugs are all natural soil-less organic and if you water with ph'ed water there shouldnt be any kind of imbalance i might be just lucky but nothing has happened to me
