Quick question about heat lights!!

i have an outdoor heat light its an infared halogen heat light 1200w, just wondering if it would be ok on a indoor grow? ive just started germinating my seeds and am getting my setup sorted trying to save a few pennies by using this light!

These lights are crap for growing mate, they dont give out the right spectrum for growing plants and most of the output is heat. You could do much better with a 600w HPS and you will also save on the electric bill

cheers buddy thats for the advice i was just trying to save abit of money as its jus lying about the garage not being used.

went straight on ebay and got this hydroponic 600/400w BALLAST PLUS 600w hps BULB for 35 quid! just gotta wait till nxt week and my growing journey shall begin excited much i think sooo
