Quick Q about drying

What happens if you only hang dry for say a day and then go right to a jar for curing? I would think that this would be a good technique because so much of the flavor would be maintained. Of course I don't read about anyone doing this so there has to be a catch. Aside from mold, why is this a bad idea?

there would be to much moisture left in your nuggs, mold is the number one reason i would say its a long way to grow just to fuk it by putting it in a jar to early.i find moldy buds are weak and give me the odd headach and it tastes like shit.

theres no fast way to do anything u go by the code of things u get good results u cut corners do things on the cheap it only effects the quality and quantity but u put the same amount of risk in for both so just keep going till u get perfection m8

I'm actually, believe it or not, not trying to cut corners. The other clippings I have dried got too dried and I feel that it loses quality. I was hoping that maybe someone had experimented with early curing as opposed to drying for a long while in order to increase flavor. Seems like this isn't the case huh...

Drying isn't JUST about hanging it until it's dry. For best results keep the area dark, with good ventilation. Don't have a fan pointing at the buds (common mistake) Don't overdry. The bud should feel a dry on the outside, the stems should snap (or some folks like to jar them right before they get to the stem-snapping stage). read up on it in the FAQ

Also drying is when it get redd of its chloyfle (not sure of the spelling sorry) but that i what give harsh hits and makes your weed hard to light
