These are my seeds in the pics below about 3days old now and when I planted them in the big pots this morning the shell knocked off by accident, will this affect growth or anything?
the fact that the shell stayed on the seedling and not shed in the soil is what delays growth a bit. This is usually because the seed was not planted deep enough, or because of a problem with the soil. what's your medium?
i would keep an eye on the stem it almost looks like its going to rot , a condition called damping off
Noun1.damping off - a plant disease caused by a fungus; diseased condition of seedlings in excessive moistureplant disease - a disease that affects plants
I cant remember the medium now but it wasnt cheap soil. So you think the plants will grow fine even though I knocked the shells off by accident looking at the pics I took?
Yea homemade, pretty annoying to position them as they are just dangling in my closet. Powered by a computer power supply, only using them for 1st week then switch to CFL's
