If I was to get an HID light would it work in this setup..my main concern is obviously heat and burn issues. If it will work what wattage would be best?

Maybe I'm just old but I'm gonna need some more info. Like is there a in line fan in your future? Or did I miss it?
Cause if you put any HID light in there your gonna have a big melted art deco piece. I think.

Can you stay with cfl's? I'm a little leery of a hid in there. But that's the grandpa coming out it me. It does that every once and a while.
I'm sure it can be done. What would you think of a 250 hps. Now do you know you have to have a ballast. You also will need some way of attaching the bulb socket holder to the plastic. I'm not liking this as I explaining it to you.
I guess it can be done. But I sure would not do it. Good luck man. I'm sure you have a good reason, I hope.
