Quick Curing Question

Ok, So I just harvested 4 plants, Let each of them dry for about 4-5 days, then threw them into mason jars to cure. Im opening the jars about 2 times a day. My bud is still very dry, and I have been curing for about a week now. I could have over dried it seeing as this is my first time and Im still really new to this. Is there anyway I can get my bud moist again? I heard putting fruit in there would help, like orange peels or whatnot, but It makes me nervous cause I dont know the side effects or possible problems, thoughts?

Fdd has suggested to many on this site to add some wet cotton wrapped in aluminum foil in there and check reguarly to moisture you want them remove, or some lettuce will work.
 
Really? why wrapped in tin foil? How moist? and just throw them into the mason jars with the bud? Just dont wanna ruin my first grow with mold or anything
 
use orange peels, but don't use alot. you want to see how wet it get's your bud. I usually do that when i get powery bud. works really well. PLus, smells amazing!
 
the tin foil allows the moisture to seep out without whatever you are using to actually lay wet on the buds. it doesnt take long to re-moisten the buds with this method.
 
ok so Ive gotten orange peels idea, put in tupaware and have some warm water next to them, and then moist cotten wrapped in tin foil... Really confused on the best method, anyone else run into this dilemma?
 
they all would probably work well. i used to use orange peels in big bags of weed that i needed to re-moisten. the only thing was the orange peels slightly affected the taste of good weed a bit. sometimes after it became moist and then dried the orange peels made the smoke a bit harsher. i did like the smell the orange peels gave to the weed though. i would be like yo this is the orange skunk shit kid lol.
 
they both will work well just keep an eye on the buds and when they are the moisture content you want remove the orange peels or aluminum foil.
 
This might be a really, really stupid question. I've not grown yet, but will be soon (govt. $$ gonna' supply my stealth setup LOL). So here's the really nutty question: why remoisten? Isn't it supposed to be smoked after its dried?
