quick c02 question

That "CO2 Calculator" just gives you a rough estimate of how much CO2 needs to be constantly added to maintain the desired ppm level in the "stated size" of your the grow chamber. It doesn't take into account any other serious variable; like: amount of ventilation, stage of growth, size and number of plants, etc. In other words, it's kind of like "Setting the Speed Control" in your car - you set whatever number you think is "right" and hope for the best - your car just keeps going at that speed, no matter what!

A CO2 Monitor accually measures the ppm of CO2 in the "air" and determines if it needs the regulator to add more, or not, to maintain a certain level. That's more like having a driver's brain, connected to a human foot on the gas pedal to determine the car's proper speed for any given situation.

So, to answer your question, will you still need a ppm Monitor? - No! Is it better to have one under most circumstances? - Yes!

Don't waste your money dude. A good ventalation system is all you need. Fresh air. Mother nature.
