You are a person. A person with a mind, and consciousness is a product of that mind. Your mind due to its complex structure is able to be aware, whether it is self awareness, or awareness of others doesn't really matter.

I'm not sure how that makes you awareness incarnate, but I feel like our disagreement is going to stem from the core of what you and I believe to be reality.

I am a materialist, and determinist; based on your comments I assume you are not. :)

Lol. Even solipsists believe that they themselves exist. It's just everything elses' existence that's in question. I don't even think there's a term for someone who believes that their own self doesn't exist. That's out there, I wanna try that strain...

Does a materialistic belief mean you believe everything can be reduced to/explained by physics and chemistry?

If so, how does the arrangment of atoms that make up a regular ole stop sign carry the information to your brain that alerts you to stop (assuming you obey stop signs hehe)?
