Questions about aero bucket

Anyone here do aero buckets with sprayers on top spraying down on roots? I am wondering if 3 gallon buckets are big enough to hold roots in.

It wont take long for the roots to engulf bottom mounted nozzles in a 3 gal bucket. Getting to them for maintenance is another issue ;)

Side spray would be more effective. spraying up from bottom is best though.
Thanks for your help. Do you use a water chiller for your aero setup also? Im trying to opt for a system that doesnt have to use chillers.

Thanks for the reply. Im new to this just trying to set something up thats not too susceptible to root rot.

Nope. a chiller isn't needed. just use 2 totes stacked in top of each other and have the spray manifold in the top one and the water in the bottom one. have a submersible pump come up and out the top side of the tote, connected back in with a tube to the bottom of the upper to the manifold. use an ebb and flow 3/4" drain to use for the spraying water that collects in the top to drain back down into the res. it works great and my water stays cool.

Pro tip. ABSOLUTELY 100% Use a filter bag on your pump to avoid clogging your sprayers. this is a necessity.
