Justin 121: depending on the age, type of seed and how it was stored you might be expecting too much in three days. Mine usually germinate in three to five days depending on how old they are. I always store them in black light proof 35 mm film storage canisters and I keep those in the refrigerator crisper. I've had good luck storing seeds well over a couple of years and had them sprout in as little as a day but those were rare exceptions.
I've seen the tap root of germinated seeds broken during the transfer from a paper towel to a growing medium even when you're handling them carefully so I like to start them in the growing medium they're going to live in. Recently I planted seven seeds and only five sprouted, all came from the same batch of year old seeds. I'd say be patient for a few more days. If nothing happens after a week you might want to take a closer look but for now if they haven't popped up in three days you might possibly do more harm than good by disturbing them. That's my two cents anyway.
