Just wondering what everyone thinks is best and what you've seen as far as results for indoor growing. I know there are lots and lots of companies out there now, so lets hear your recipe for your organic choice . . .

yea i used a couple bags of roots organic and i was happy with it. it was cheaper than all of the other organic soils in the shop too.

The best soil in Cali right now is Empire Builder by sanctuary soil and feed. Sanctuarysoil.com. It has about 10 more ingridient than any other soil on the market. Also there is very little wood in there soil.

never use sanctuary soil!
the guy at a local hydro shop talked me into it and it killed my yields and i was worried my crop wasnt gonna make it. the stuff is like sludge. my clones coulnt grow.
im back to roots organic with no issues

Why pay for brand name soil when you can make it cheap?
Go to your local soil store like http://www.acmesand.com/topsoil/
Look up the various recipes for soil nutrients such as worm castings, bat guano, sulfer, lime, ect.

When you mix it you understand it better and you can adjust it. Not to mention the price is a lot less; I can make (2) 55 gallons drums of soil for about $50-$60.

I think I am about to this point. Since I am amending Pro-Mix and did not like the textures of most of the popular soil brands out there or the inconsistencies in the charge.

I have been using Dr. Earth this last grow and I am loving it. I haven't given fox farm a try but I plant on trying it out next grow around.

I was using fox farm but I just recently switched to roots. Fox farm was good but it didn't drain well IMO. Even adding perlite its still got a muddy feel after watering. On the other hand adding more coco coir and perlite to my super soil mix with Roots everything is all good at this point

The stuff is like sludge?? Its one of the airiest mixes Ive seen. Coco will turn to sludge as well if you overwater. So will Roots. So will FF. So will.... Im currently trying it out and my girls are exploding. Perhaps step into the newb time machine and re evaluate your watering techniques. Say hello to Socrates and Rufus while your there.

i had the same issue with roots, it might just be every now and again each has a bag thats not as well mixed. i like them both, but i prefer to cut my soil 50/50 with coco anyway. but i live in the desert and moisture retention is a bit of an issue.

I grow in Supersoil using compost tea... I will keep playing with my ingredients over the years, but I never want to buy commercial bottled nutes again

i actually met one of the owners of Sanctuary at the local hydro shop, talked to him for a while. he actually threw me a bag for free, real cool guy, will def try it out next go round

First impressions of Empire Builder(Sanc Soil): Its slightly Hot. Be careful with seedlings or small cuts. Other than that, the girls in bloom are loving it.
