question on storing ph meter for 3 to 6 months

hi growers
so i need to store my ph meter for 3 to 6 months while i cant grow so it will not be touched in a while
do i keep the prob in distilled water or ph calibration or do you think the prob will be fuked in that time regardless

From my own experience working in a lab and using pH meters, it's best to store it in the pH solution vs. water. The water has a tendency to evaporate leaving residue on the probe. Just my two cents...

would you use ph calibration 6 or 4 for storage
and just full up the cap and leave it like that ??

I would use either / or...they will both be stable. Yes, fill the cap for the probe...I would however check on it every couple of weeks or so to be sure you haven't lost any fluid, so your probe doesn't dry out accidentally. Hope this helps.
