question on flowering from seedling

hi my seedlings have about 3 to 4 sett's of leaves i what to flower them so i have some personal does it hurt the potency of the smoke i don't care about the yield thanks

You should really veg them for awhile before flowering, the plant won't flower till it's mature anyway so all your doing is adding stress to the plant trying to make it do something it isn't ready to do yet.

thanks la9 but wont my plant mature while its flowering and again will it hurt the potency of my plant if i start flowering now any one know thanks for replies

Potency will be the same.

You get get some decent plants doing 12/12 from seed. Wont be a monster, but you will be suprised. These two were 12/12 from seed.

First off it takes a time period of 4 to 8 weeks vegetative growth for a plant to reach maturity where it will show it's sex, in some sativa's it may take longer. Plants will not show their sex until they reach this level of maturity. An immature plant will not show sex because initial calyx development is not photoperiod-related.

Abnormal Bud Growth

Abnormal bud growth is a side effect of the hermaphrodite condition. Because the plant produces male pollen sacks with female flowers you may notice that the bud looks different. Also, the quantity of female bud produced is decreased because of pollination.

Force flowering simply acts by stressing the plant into a crisis condition.
You will get the best out of your plant by waiting until it starts pre-flowering before switching to 12/12.

Will it effect the quality ? It effects the overall size of the plant from the stress so I would say yes the plant won't have it's full strength potential as if it was grown stress free environment.

Bottom line is you aren't gaining anything by force flowering, but you are adding the potential for a whole lot of other problems, not to mention the added stress. Really I see no point in even considering it.

Some strains will show sex really quick. I have had them show within three weeks. Some will take much longer. Never had one herm yet and the plants will shoot right up. I've pinched tops on them in flowering and that worked just fine. Going 12/12 from seed isn't absurd. You can actually fit a lot more plants in your grow space and I like it because you can grow a wide variety of strains so your not stuck smoking a pile of the same stuff. Check this thread out. Some really impressive results in here. Don't knock it until you try it.

i thank you both for your reply, la9 the point is i don't have a supplier [ of good stuff right now where i live] and i need some good stuff so i need the fastest way to my bubblelicious done i well take my time after this grow. thanks again for the replies. ps. ya that tread is what gave me the idea

it is always best to let them mature before tryin to rush them into somthing they arent even almost ready for. thats my thought anyways. the plant is going to stress if not.

ya i know like i said before also like said before i need a fast way to get personal smoke and i have read a lot of threads and 12/12 from seeds seem to work pretty good
