Question for the Expert (Al, of course)-Please help

Old in the Way

Well-Known Member
Al could you pleae tell me what the problem is with these-besides the fact its an aerogarden-Thanks, mine are displaying the same symptoms in my Veg room-still haven't bought a camera sorry. I just troll the threads to find pics that match.

These have the exact same look to them as one of my strains. I have diagnosed as Mg and Ca def. Please advise. Still running 5.8 ph dead-nuts-Eutech pen with frequent cal. I have also decided i may see an improvement if I allow my ph to drift up to 5.9-6 to assist in Mg uptake-Any thoughts.

As always. I thank you and my veg room thanks you.

You don't say how old the little girls are. I will assume you are new to growing. In assuming this I will take the chance that the girls are still seedlings. As usually with the new growers they try to add nutes too early. Also they try to add too much. If you have less than 3 nodes NO nutes for you! This is the best I can do with so little info (probably why so little replies) to go on. If over 3 nodes introduce nutes at about 1/4 recommended and after a few days if nothing bad happens increase SLOWLY! Good luck!

posts/users like this ruin my riu experience and the entire internet.

  1. you're totally out of line with this post, requesting that only Al answer the question, there are plenty of other qualified growers that can answer your question.
  2. wrong forum, theres a forum specifically for posting threads about plant problems
  3. wrong thread, Al has a thread for users to ask him questions directly
  4. bumping after only 2 hours....

WW-
thanks for the reply, nutes are good 4th week of veg at this time. Didn't regurgitate all the specifics cause my environment is strictly managed and on point. Something is going on however so any input you would have based on the pics from the other guy is much appreciated (only difference is age of my future mums and dads)-Also appreciated was your diplomatic reply to my apparently innappropriate post-see below.

As for you Bluebeard (if that is your real name-lol)

Aaaawww--Don't like it don't respond. If I ruin your riu experience then you better toughen up. There is alot of things in life you aren't going to like-get used to it.

But......
1.Your right I am sure you are just as qualified as are many others-but Al and I have had ongoing dialogue and I think he knows why I am asking him. I don't need and am not looking for a bunch of info from random members-I ask him a question here and there because I trust his judgement and run a similar op. I wouldn't expect you to put any stock in my responses and unless you have a similar amount invested-piss off. I have done my research, know what I am doing when it comes to hoticulture and floriculture (canniculture is new to me and not that its your business but I am willing to bet I worked more years in commercial horticulture than most of the kids on this site have been alive. And furthermore I am asking for his opinion to confirm my diagnosis-not to maintain my garden.
2. I am growing hydro-many of the plant probs on that specific thread are soil based-otherwise I would have posted there--Do you tell everyone posting about probs here to post in the correst thread or did you just wake up with a chapped ass today
3.Al closed his thread over a week ago because of so many qualified(lol) growers needing their hands held (he may have well been growing it for them)-glad to see you are up to date on such things.
4.Yes bumping after 2 hrs-you know what time it is in the land down under-I do-Bluebeard huh, must be Blueballs today with that attitude of yours-Why don't you go work one out and get back to me when it has improved.

Or,

Just keep your opinion to yourself, as you well knew before opening the thread I wasn't asking or needing your input-but thanks for investing time in ruining your riu and interweb experience-hope it helped.:finger:

BTW-thanks for the bump-jerk

Mmmm. OK. Well put sometimes youo don't see yourself turning it into a personal attack while typing. Your right it is just business. And for that I apologize-However I do not apologize for the business end of that response. Sometimes I just have too much time on my hands. Maybe my ass was chapped. Who knows.

You're
easy to upset.

Your obvious solution is to smash your computer in the street. Do it now! Save yourself (and us) the pain of a ruined internet experience!

FYI, the Al B FAQt thread has been closed for more than a week because I have had other things to do. You've got a lot of cheek chastising others when you can't keep up with current events yourself.

Al could you pleae tell me what the problem is with these-besides the fact its an aerogarden-

Looks like overwatering, if indeed your plants look the same as those pictured by the other user.

You'd be doing both me & you a big favour if you could get a camera.

Using H2O2?

I can't offer you much advice about the Aerogarbage other than to bin it.

Thanks Al,

Glad you weren't offended by my request for assistance.

That is someone else's Aerogarbage (hehehe). I have cut back water, in the last few days in my op, changed from the Ionic-Growth Formula which was supplemented by some crystals and dream catchers-(contained no Mg or Ca AT ALL-the ionic not the dream catcher) to DutchMaster Gold 2 part nutes-much improved already. Did a light Mg and Ca boost prior to changing nutes, flushed the system thoroughly and feel better about how things are looking--A camera, I know, I know-I will grab one this weekend. When I am on the road to the mountains. (yep a holiday already-only 3 days though--don't know how the kids will behave in my absence)

h2o2 is being used at 1.7ml/L nutes (35%)
BTW-My water is 140ppm out of the tap and I am running my res at 1120 ppm--980 actual--Should I be able to go to 1200ppm of nutes (1340 total) this weekend as they finish the 4th week of veg??

Thanks again.
:clap:you are the man...er..diplomat...er..overgrower...anyway we appreciate it.
