Question for subcool about decarboxylization/tincture making

I saw your guide on breedbay with the glycerin, and I was wondering would mixing two shots of 100 proof or 151 proof vodka and an eighth for 60 days (shaking everyday) w/o heat produce a good tincture to take sublingually? I'd like to know a method w/o heat to do this, but I keep reading about decarboxlization and the sources I have read aren't unanimous or even close so I am confused as to what should be done, thanks.

The whole point of the article is kinda the alcohol free part so I can't answer your question.

I can tell you that with a solvent like Vodka it takes less time that with the glycerin how much less I just dont know.

But will tincture making work without heating it? People keep mentioning THC being inactive until it is heated up so it loses it's carboxyl group (decarboxlization). I really want to try making a tincture, but the smell from heating it would be a major problem for me.

Pop the vegetables in the oven at 222 BEFORE making the tincture, then you won't have to heat it nor any exploding alcohol fumes risks.
