Question for perpetual scroggers

I just started my perpetual grow and want to scrog this run. I can't fit the screen in my veg tent, so I can only put them under the screen day one of flower.
Will the 2-3 week stretch be enough time for me to start training through the screen and get proper results?
I know it's good to get the screen full and then flip but I don't have that option now.
I couldn't find any direct mention of my dilemma in any of the scrog tutorials.

As long as the net is nomore than 20-30cm from you growing medium you should be fine.

Use Some sort of U shaped thingys while veggin to push over shooting stems pulling them down and off to either sides making the base of the plant as wide as possible.

Some would like to Cut early on to get two or four main colas. For me i don't like cutting my babies ;) also seems it will take the plant atleast a week to recover from a cut :-/

Yeah I planned on training it early to keep it low. Had a rough start so may not have time to top them.
Have you scrogged yet without topping or fimming them before?

I was counting on a big stretch and really didn't get it. I topped a bunch of times then LST'd, then put under the net for two weeks before flip. My screen is mostly full, but the plants still just look smallish to me. Small leaves etc.. I'm sure it will work out..

One good thing to do if you're planning a scrog is to create 4 mains by topping once and tying down the two new shoots and the two shoots below.. This way you have a North South East West structure to start with.

At your stage of the game you may not really be scrogging. It may just turn out to be a plant with a supportive net since you may not have a lot of tops.

Keep us posted.

Hey Sunny, interesting to read this. I was always wondering how many main tops would be best when scroging.

Would you still recommend on keeping 4 main branches off a clone so you can run them north, east, west etc

Yes, I think it's a good idea.. I saw it on someone else's grow. Makes sense..
