Question. Best PH level for watering plants in Soil?

I PH the water always - I usually am fine with it being anywhere from 5.5 to 6.5........ ¿¿¿¿¿¿¿ ;)

every tutorial I see - the PH varies......

so am curious!
 
it doesn't really matter that much but it should be around 6-7. That's the thing with soil if you use the right nutrients the soil supports itself
 
distilled water changes ph when exposed to air so test it as well. it also fluctuates rapidly. 6.4 tho
 
Agree 6.5 for soil. There is a nutrient uptake table somewhere that will show what nutrients are up taken best at certain PH levels and what gets locked out at different ph levels. 6.5 covers all basis I have a fairly big garden and PHing is impossible for all the watering that needs to be done. The only time I will PH is if feeding synthetics. This years crop will be all organic with no PHing. My tap water comes out from 7-8 ph, it is run thru a dechlor filter and straight to the garden. Distilled water will short you on minerals and calcium and magnesium. all so if growing organic and adjusting PH with acid will kill your micro heard. Organic is so easy and maintenance free. If you get your soil amended right, top dress and use a ACT and nutrient teas once in a while there is no need for PHing or weekly feedings. Does one PH house plants and vegetable gardens ? Think about it ? PH and Nutrient Uptake charts!

I have one plant that doesn't look quite rite...
... perhaps because it was watered under PH 6..... and didn't like it at all...........
 
I use unfiltered rainwater straight from the rain barrel provided by mother nature, usually between ph 5.5-6.0 and my soil is at a ph of 7
 
In soil I'd also agree, just go all-natural and take care of soil organisms and it's no issue at all. That being said in soil I've personally found 6.5 to be 'safe' all round...
 
I have flushed the pot with PH 6.5 and will seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee if that cures it!

Gotta plant her out - as well - so hopefully that will Cheer-Her-Up! :)
 
Saw some pics of Cs/Mg deficiency now, looks quite close to what you posted, apparently caused by too low pH so yeah hope you nailed it.
