Question about the leaves on a budding plant

Ok so i see all these pictures of plants that look almost like they have no leaves only bud on them what is the point of that should i do it to mine? LOL just cureous what is with the bald plants

they do this so that the light gets to the bottom budds if you do this is should be when the top bud is almost done

Ok thank you that helps alot i was just cureous i have alwayse done outdoor growing and i just moved indors this year i have about 9 plants in flowering stage and i was just wondering why i keep seeing all these bald looking plants thank you

its a bad idea, the plant is using those to store and make food, why waste all the effort it put into storing energy/food/nutrients in the fan leaves?

I read you only do that on the lower branches, to reveal lower buds.
