Question About Seeds..

My friend is going on vacation for a week in February. He wants to buy seeds and plant them when he gets back (beginning of March). Do you think it's ok to buy them now? or will they not be fresh?

Also, what if there's a problem with them? Then it might be too late for the seedbank to do anything about it.

Opinions please?

maybe put them in the refrigerator? or maybe that's too cold
