question about scufffing and germinating

so i got the aerogarden finally, orignally i was gonna try to do it out of rockwool and home set up but i was lazy. germinated teh seedds. and when i xfered them i ripped the main taproot of one and broke the seed of the other (i tripped and stepped on it while xfering). so yeah i have 1 more bag seed left that im trying to germinate. it seems like it hasn't aged long enough. so i scuffed it, i went to see if it floats or sinks in water and it sinks. so i tried to 24+ hrs after scuffing and nothing. so i assumed maybe i didn't do it well enough so i scuffed it some more and the side of the seed cracked open just a bit. i put it in the aerogarden as is. what should i do? or am i fucked? thanks
