Just wondering a little bit about the SCROG method.

From what I have read once your plant gets to a certain height you put a screen over the plants, when the tip of the plant pushes passed the screen you bend it back under.

Technically this does what, forces the plant to lengthen the lower nodes into "main heads" ?

Sorry if this is a dumb question, I am pondering on a couple ideas and was just curious...

scrog allows you to maintain an even canopy for your grow while providing more weight support for the heavier and lower branches. what you want is to allow the plants to grow through the screen aka trellis net, when one branch gets too big you can either super crop by slightly pinching and bending at the specific point allowing it to rest on a part of the trellis, or by pulling the branch below the net causing the top bud to lower. multiple trellis nets (2) are more effective allowing added support for the branches. an effective method would be to cut all the unneccisary foliage and bud sites around the bottom (since it wont get light anyway) and allow the tops more beneficial nutrients (remember to do this only in veg stage to allow recovery)

Basically a scrog is you instead of letting the plant grow naturally and getting one main cola you get 15+ Check out my grow I'm doing scrog. Yes, you are right. When it gets 2-3" above the screen you pull it back under and move it to another area of the screen, doing this over and over until you have your entire screen filled.

Im searching for a scrog journal thats complete. I found one that i got Sub'ed its still in VEG. Id like to see one thats already finished. If anyone knows of one and can post a link that would be sweet and it would help anyone trying to learn about it.
