Question about rockwool

It has just occured to me that when starting seedlings in rockwool, and it's time to transplant, you can just put the rockwool in the soil for the transplant. My question is, why would anybody start seeds in soil, when transplanting is so much easier when starting in rockwool? Am I missing something here?

i used to start my seeds in the paper towel method then put in soil lately ive been using rock wool to start my seeds but ive fucked it up a few times haha

When you start in soil you get the same thing. I either do soil or paper towel into soil method. I tried those jiffy plug things but stopped I didn't like the cardboard containers

My question is why would you plant a seed in rockwool when it wants to grow in soil. Plant your seeds in soil. then you do not even have to transplant. I'm missing something here as well.

My ignorance was already clarified by this question. I have no idea about rockwool. I have no idea about most growing in general. I was asking more experienced growers. If my questions are bothering your tender sensibilities I suggest either A) removing your tampon or B) removing your tampon.

What got your diaper in a wad? I was just saying I never saw much (any) advantage to sprouting in anything but soil. Just an observation, and kind of a question which nobody ever answers.
