question about recycling water system

Hello everyone ☺
I am about to set up a new growroom and have limited roof space and i want a recycling water system. Is it possible to pump the drainage water back to the tank if the pots is standing on the floor almost.

I just set up something like this. I top drip into the grow buckets and drain back to the res, I have the res on the floor and the grow buckets on little 2g buckets. First attempt at this design (not sure what is called ) but you can see what I put together in my signature.

i call that a homemade water farm system.
john you could setup a very similar type system.
