Question about pot size (no pun intended)

Hey fellow hippies,

So my last grow was a great sucess. The only problem was with the space limitations and the large pots I was using for the plants I could only grow 4 plants and only got just over an Oz of bud. So this time rather than having two plants in larger pots, I have 6 plants in smaller one gallon pots. Here's my theory, since I'm using promix potting soil, there's no real dirt so it gets it's food from the 20-20-20 shultz nutes I'm using. So before I watered once every 3 days, with the smaller pots I'm stepping it up to watering them every 2 days, and a lot of water (about 400ml per 1 gallon pot plant). I'm thinking this will make up for the small pot size. Am I right? Is this a good idea to get more of a yield off these? I'm using CFLs if that changes anything at all.

Thanks for reading!

dont keep them in small pots. dont pot them in the same pots. 1 seed for 1 pot.

just keep it simple. i have 8cm pots atm for my seedlings. i just bought some 15cm ones which i will transplant when they sprout then i may only have to transfer 1 more time, if any.

You want the roots to have alot of space to spread out, if not the roots get bound up, which in my experience produced smaller yields.
