so everyone but me seems to be putting their nutes in their water...my nutes tell you to spread the nutes on top of the soil underneath all the foliage...am i doing it wrong? also the nutes have an npk of 16-4-8 is this okay for veg?

That ratio doesn't seem to far off, but have you read that bag yet. Did you notice that it is tree food. You are not growing a tree are you? go out and get something that is made for vegging fruits or flowers.

yeah, when i picked up the nutes, i was still very new to this, thanx to this site i've picked up a great deal of knowledge, the first person i asked what the npk should be, they said 15-5-5, so i concentrated on finding the closest npk with out even looking at the tree shrub evergreen thing, i honestly thought it wouldn't make a difference...newbie mistake

if i'm planning on using molasses during flowering, should i make any adjustments with my nutes???

the numbers on npk are all ratios so 20-10-10 is the same as 10-5-5, 4-2-2 or 2-1-1 it just differs in the amount you need to feed. So keep this in mind, you don't need to find a feed that is as close to 20-10-10 as you can you just need to find one with similar ratios. And many of the micronutrients and shuch will matter between tree and flower feeds, I would imagine tree nutes are probably too strong is certain areas for your needs, and you may burn your plants with that. You won't need to change things when you add molasses just add it at 1-2 tbsp per gallon every/everyother watering.

can it be used more than every other watering, cuz in several other threads people were talking about using 2tbsp/gal and using every watering, i wasn't planning on going that strong, but i was planning on using 1tbsp/gal and using two out of every three waterings

and so far my plants are doing very well, knock on wood, hope it stays that way when i start to flower

yes, if you look at my post I said every/everyother it's very hard to impossible to overdo molasses.

okay, thank you for the help...impossible you say?...lol don't forget i'm a newbie...but i measured it all out ahead of time so i'm set, thanx again

well i bought the miracle grow soil with the ctr nutes in it before i started reading up on growing, THOUGHT i knew everything i needed to, then i learned the seedlings cant take in nutes til 3 or 4 nodes that's when i start adding nutes and other stuff...i doubt it helped but before i put my seedlings in i flushed the soil for 3 days a gallon of water a day. i wouldn't be surprised if it didn't do anything...i just went out and got my nutes for flowering, miracle grow blossom bloom(15-30-15), it was all i could find...i searched the entire garden department at home depot for super thrive i couldn't find it anywhere, i also couldn't find any soil that didn't have time released nutes in it, or any kind of perilite. i will be going to a nursery tomorrow and checking if they have it there. is the miracle grow blossom bloom sufficient for flowering? and what benefit does adding epson salt give?
