question about mothers

so ... if i have a plant, a mother to be exact, and i want it to stay bein the mother to all my bud...

i want to put the mother in a little stealthy grow box forever....

how do i control its height?

tying down i know about... cutting back, etc

are those the only ways?

cutting back on nutes little light works for me. I usually dont keep her long as i clone da shit out of her

Use T5 bulbs or fluoros or low output cfl's to keep her alive.

I don't think you can keep it alive forever. Marijuana is an annual plant. It'll eventually die off on you. Best to make some clones then grow a clone out to clone and flower the momma out.

true true.... that will also help with the size restrictions.... thanks guys!

if anyone else can, check out my other threads... i'm having a tiny bit of a problem with some yellowing on the plants...


also, im selling some things because they are not useful to me anymore...

hydro setup is a tiny bit obsolete in my circumstances, so i'm looking for a little guidance

You can keep them alive for years or so i have heard, I kill mine off and start a new one every 5 months. I cut mine hard core when I take cuttings, plant goes from 40 inches tall to 6 inches tall every 5 weeks.

The longest I keep mine is for a year. When it is time for a new mother(s) then I just flower out the old one with a gr8 yield.
