Hey I am attempting my first planting of seeds and need some help. I have placed 5 germinated seeds in cups of moistened soil covered with zip-lock bags and I was wondering if they should be placed under light at this point. Thanks in advance.

I don't give anything but sun for the 1st day or two... let them green up a bit.... I've toasted too many.... I wouldn't use the zip lock bag thing... let the air get at the soil/baby... IMO. Luck.

Thanks for the help so far guys I appreciate it. I just checked the bad boys and amazingly 3 have came out of the ground with the seed still on. At this point should I take off the bags and put them under light or sun? Thanks again.

As I said... I like just sun for a day or two..... You didn't say what lights... Be careful if HID (MH/HPS).. start at about 18"+ and watch to see if OK... Good rule of thumb..if too hot for back of hand..too hot for plant..
They're still wearing their helmets (seed casing).. they'll fall off in a day or two..if not gently remove them.....
