Question about Flowering

Have any of you actually did this or seen somebody do this? I personally think it'd work. I've never used a solid blue spectrum before but have always had blue dominant lights as I was very unimpressed with HPS after using it alone. Node spacing and overall quality were not as good as with my ceramic metal halide.

not the digital ballasts you see, but yeah, hps is normally a street light, and MH is normally used for indoor lighting in big places like sports arenas

look in my signature for the diy your light...this will be fine, it is all cfl but this light and reflector kicks ass. i grew 2 good size bushes with decent yields, hps would of been better but this shit works....use 2700k bulbs for flowering tho, maybe leave in 2 6500 bulbs...

both 2700k and 6500k are full spectrum however the 2700k has a better and deeper red ratio than the 6500 which is more blue...

Brain fart. I do understand they both have the full spectrum but what I'm saying is I've personally found that using more blue than red is beneficial. Red gave me more yield and the foliage seemed to be a little lighter green, but I grow to smoke, so quality is tops.

Metal Halide also is much closer to natural sunlight than HPS.
only if you get a true 6500 K bulb a standard metal halide is a poor grow light.

I have four bushes 4 weeks old and a bigger plant. Dont know how old the bigger one is. But I think am about to switch to 12/12 there getting a lil to big and I hear they get 2 to 3x bigger during flower.
