Can a female plant produce seeds, "even if a male IS NOT present" and if so will those seeds all be feminized (all female seeds). PLZ only those who know for sure answer, no guessing plz, respect to ALL but guessing helps no one. PS. is fox farm Ocean forest to "hot" for seedlings Thanks to all who reply!!:eyesmoke:

Oh man what a loaded question, feminized seeds are made from female plants only so yes. But no what you will produce will have a roughly 25% chance of not being hermie let's do this together

When you breed you get
1. Like mom
2. Like dad
3. a mix of the two
4. showing earlier traits, can be from anywhere in the gene pool

So since your plant obviously was hermie (a female plant which pollinates herself) here's your dice rolls on your seeds from the numbers above

1. Like mommy, she's a hermie
2. Like daddy, mommy is daddie, so a hermie
3. A mix of the two, oh crap this is a hermie plant
4. Here's your wild card seed

Now something in the back of my head keeps screaming it isn't 25% it is 12.5 % chance, I might be missing a piece of math.

P.S. Can't give you any advice on Ocean forest soil per your rules, I have never used it..

not going to touch the hermie topic, iam still quite confused on the subject myself. but as for FFOF, i have 3 blackjack seedlings coming out of some as we speak and they couldnt be happier.

i only use ffof from start to finish only problem ive had is in flowering i have to add cal/mag plus. and watch out with feminized seeds atleast 8 out of 10 i ve planted so far have all hermied also which isnt so much a problem if it happens late in the flowering cycle because they dont have time to make seeds but if it happens early, seeds seeds seeds

Holy misinformation batman! Hermie plants can be predisposed to hermie traits but creating a hermaphrodite out of a female plant does not alter it's genetics. Go back to high school.

i believe if you crate your hermie via letting it live far passed harvest time or stress will alter the gene and predispose the seeds, but if you use colloidal silver this doesnt occur? like i said, i try to stay away from this topic because it confuses the shit out of me for some reason. i always hated biology.

Yes that is what I said, I said if you mix a hermie plant with itself you get a hermie plant. Now if you trip it up to be hermie and then stabilize it you get fem seeds. This isn't specific to MJ at all, there is a shit load of information out there.

P.S. I am sitting here thinking they taught this in high school? What damn school did you go to?

I admit that a lot my stuff is research dependent and possible wrong, do your own research. I do want to offer this also to the op I like this gentlemen I believe his name is Soma, he has cancer of the mouth if mem seves me and I am a stoner.. But I did a search and came up with this, knowing I like him anyway his way of extracting the Banana is pretty much the way I always thought was right too.
