I just figured our what a lot of people on here have been saying about the dual hose ac systems being superior to the single hose ones.
But since I still do have a single hosed unit and I am handy, how could I alter this unit so that I am not exchanging air with this AC unit? The intake is on back of the unit. The 5" vent hose is already plumbed...the intake on the back is not...I could build a warm air return box on the back of it and then plumb that to 6" ducting.
Do people sit the dual hose units IN the rooms or are they adjacent to the room? The reason for me asking is because I cant get around the condenser and the radiator still being in the room. Is it supposed to be or does it matter?
