Question about cfl wiring

So I'm currently building my grow cabinet and I want to wire two cfl's to one socket.
from my knowlage of electricity I think it would be best to wire them in parallel for the maximum usage of each bulb (correct me if I'm wrong)

something like this:

Would this be safe? Do I need to add anything or whatnot?

I searched around on google and it seems ok but I still want to make sure I wont create any fire hazard.

Oh, and sorry for not posting this in "Grow Room Design & Setup" but I'm having some malware error there

there is no +/- in AC

If you don't know what you are doing electricity is dangerous.

but yes white to white, black to black, green is ground. (at least that is the colors in US)

Oh right, In AC the direction changes all the time or something of this sort...
But Im guessing parallel wiring is still the best way to go, right?

Yes color to color...
Black = Hot = 110 vac to ground [green] or white [neutral]....

Hooking up two/three CFL sockets to one cord, is fine...

DC you would possibly use series wiring....

AC-- USA use parallel....Size cord according to AWG [awg = american wire gauge] and your load...

If you are not more confused after reading this carry on...
If you are more confused... Call someone with electric know how...
Good Luck....
