Question about 1000w Metal Halide bulbs

I just got a yieldmaster classic 2 6in it came with a 1000w hps bulb and a switchable mh/hps magnetic ballast. I am wondering if a 1000w metal halide bulb will fit in there. I know those bulbs are like the size of footballs so i need to know if it will even fit before i buy the bulb. Thanks guys.

yes it will fit no problem lol they are designed to work with both bulbs and your ballast dont forget to switch to MH with that other bulb.

Alright well heres another question. The hood has a built in socket and cord. The cord is a s52 i believe fitting. And it fits into the ballast obviously. But on the ballast you have to switch to a m47 fitting for the metal halide but how am i going to do that with the hood having a s52 fitting? Am i going to have to get a special MH socket and cord? or is there an adapter for the plugs? Kinda confused

my switcheable ballast just has a switch you flip for mh or hps the cord is all the same for all the ballast i have ever seen or used

my 400 watt didn't have a switch or anything, you just hooked up the light and plugged it in

I for got to add this pic. then if you notice it says right and left on the switch, so i was thinking mabye it is corresponding with the lamp plugs.
