I took a few pics of my plant today, the fan leaves are dying. I flushed the pot soon as I saw this because I've been using very little nutes and am not too confident in using them. Is this from the nutes or is this somewhat normal? The top couple sets of fan leaves are fine its the bottom sets that are about to fall off i'm thinking.I took these just now....

why arent you using nutes? plants need nutrients to live.

unless you enriched your soil with other fertilizers beforehand, your soil will be depleted of nutrients eventually.

dont worry about it. that is natural. once your plants are in the flowering stage the fan leaves turn yellow and start to fall off. this happens because the plant is pulling the little bit of nitrogen that it needs from the fan leaves. if the bed leaves start turning then it's something to worry about. have you fed her molasses? if not then i would if i were you. 1-2 tbl spoons every week and the buds will plump up real nice. good luck

I've been using nutes sparingly, kinda bad timing on the budget side of things, i've been outta work for a month and a half I've been using the only thing I could get my hands on which is Miracle Grow 15-30-15. I've been adding every 2-3 weeks,if that, in small amounts about a tablespoon for my ?gallon? bucket. I've just read that miracle grow is bad in general and I am still learning, using nutes is next years big lesson...

i used those same nutes last year. they are not that bad. you and i are in the same boat as far as work goes. shitty deal. what week is she in? go by the directions on the box. i believe it says every 10 days you can reapply without nute burn with that particular type. i would use the small measuring scoop and give her 1 scoop and 1-2 tbl spoons of molasses.

Can you guys recommend the best kind of Molasses? I knew its in here somewhere but what do you guys use? I've heard of this I am gonna go get some today....can I get it at the IGA? HaHa, this town sucks. And thanks blazin I'm glad to hear that you used the same nutes, I agree not that bad?!? As far as work goes I insulate houses and damn shits slow.

Agreed. This same question is being asked by new growers on all the forums and it's a natural process as the plant devotes all resources to flowering.

IGA will have it right along with the maple syrups and such. Unsulphured molasses is what you want and it'll say so on the front label. Or you can go to a farm supply house and get a lifetime supply for about $10.
