QB Watts vs Blurple Watts

I've got my 320 qb pulling 265 from the wall at 30". What do you guys think, good idea or should I run the a bit softer and lower them?

Also a bit off subject.
I noticed on my kill a watt, that the driver is pulling between 263.9 and 265.7 watts and the voltage and amps keep fluctuating as well. Is this normal for a constant current driver or is something going on that I'm not aware of? I wired everything in series as to avoid runaway. I'm not sure if this constitutes as said runaway but figured I would ask. I've never used led' I have been educating my self but being new to something as such I'm still a bit confused.

I don't get it. Are people growing weed or doing a power consumption study. Get a light, plug it in, grow pot. It really is that simple.
Different lights produce different results to a certain extent.

Currently 265W at 18” doing well.

It's not some cheap Chinese light that says 600 watts that really only pulls 100 watts from the wall right when you plug it in. So before you go around voicing your opinion on what's simple as opposed to what's not simple maybe you should understand what types of led' are being used before you write.

Oh good grief. I've been growing weed for 40 years. I don't need a bunch of charts and marketing bullshit to tell me what I need.

Growing weed is easy. Unfortunately gettin sucked into the marketing bullshit is easy for many people as well. HPS grows good weed but go ahead and spend all that money on the latest greatest LED better than ever, giant buds guaranteed, blah blah blah. While you're busy dumping money on technology, I'll be busy growing good weed.

Push your light as hard as you possibly can so you get the most cannabis out of each run. A few extra watts of power will end up costing you less than how much the value of the additional bud is. Happy growing.

Lol! All that money? I pulled damn near 6 zips of great weed off of one plant under my 135 watt hlg kit that cost me less than $200. Where is all this wasted money? Come on man, i like you but you really seem to have an axe to grind here.

What axe? All I'm saying is it isn't complicated to grow weed.

Doesn't matter if you grown it outdoors, under HID or LED.

Good weed is easy to grow.

ive seen first hand 4 different grows from different people i know, good weed isnt easy to grow if you dont know what youre doing. the stuff that i saw grown all was complete garbage. 3 of the fpur people grew and flowered with viparspectra and one with a mars hydro. i know people in my state are stupid, but if it was easy to grow FLOWERS everyone would be doing it.

Maybe you're just a grumpy old guy like me.. :bigjoint:
He he

Yeah I'm that.

I didn't mean anything personal.

I just think people way over complicate things. If you can grow a tomato or lettuce then you should be able to grow weed. If you can't grow that then you're going to have issues growing weed regardless of lights, nutrients, etc... No fancy bottle or magical light is going to help you.

Learn the basics and the rest comes naturally.

That i will agree with 100%. The basics HAVE to come first... the amount of people who have never even tried to keep a fern alive that buy 4x8 tents and 2000 watts of lighting is astounding.

There is a minimum amount of light you need to grow bud

In the UK, the declared voltage and tolerance for an electricity supply is 230 volts -6%, +10%. This gives an allowed voltage range of 216.2 volts to 253.0 volts.

im a first time grower with absolutely no experience, i have grown many houseplants at home, and grown a few beans and tomatoes outside. i uave never had any issue growing anything or had to buy fertilizer for anything before this.

i have never had “great yields” on my tomatoes, and my houseplants are probably all rootbound and havent gotten any bigger in a while.

so im “anybody” per se, if i got the results from my previous non marijuana grows on my weed grow, id be very dissapointed

i think the real issue is, anyone can grow a plant, growing a quality product and getting a good amount thats worth my time, is something im willing to put effort into to do right.

im not just going to just setit and forget it on my pot plants, get a shitty crop, then start saying it was easy FOR ME to grow weed. im not saying its hard, im saying theres a learning curve for getting what i consider “worth my time” and it has seemed to me the quantum board has produced a “happier” looking plant than the 3 blurples i had.

if us “noobs” and “bros” that dont have a whole lot of experience growing have an easier, more rewarding experience growing with the quantum boards, thats good enough for me. im not trying to buy anything chinese, including garbage premature pounds of shitty weed shipped over to the east coast from california chinese farms either. chinese dont care about quality, they care about making money at any cost, damn the consequences, and believe me, i know about it firsthand with things that ill leave unsaid on this forum.

you get what you pay for 98% of the time
