Q? How do u LST a plant and what exacly does it do

low stress training. durin veg you bend it over and tie it down little by little so you don't break her in half. good luck

I hear people mentioning LST"ing their plants.
I would just like to know what it is and how u do it?
:dunce::bigjoint:

i was kinda wondering the same thing. hopefully some knowledge pours into this thread lol. ill stay posted and h reply back if i find any othr info. peacebongsmilie

if your plant is to tall and you don't have the hight in your grow area, you can even do it in flower just don't bend to where its going to break.

ohh reet. wll i got good height to grow in but less horizontal space if u know what i mean so i dont think ill LST . i cud do with them being bit taller and less bushy

Here is how- https://www.rollitup.org/indoor-growing/6834-how-lst-low-stress-training.html
There are many reasons why you would want to do this, especially if growing indoors.
When growing with artificial lighting, the proximity of the plant to the light is VERY important. If you grow a plant normally (no LST) and lets say it grows to about 3 feet tall. If you have the lights above your plant (you should) then the top of the plant is much closer to the light than the bottom of the plant. But if you tie your plant down you can keep the top AND bottom of the plant approximately the same distance from the light. Its a way to get better light coverage and proximity. When a plant grows straight up, the top of the plant literally shades the middle and bottom of the plant, but when you lay the plant over now the whole plant is receiving light. This extra light hitting the stalk of your plant will encourage the branches to grow more. It makes a HUGE and very noticeable difference. Instead of your plant having a main cola and a bunch of small branch buds, you will have a bunch a main colas because the branches (which would be farther away from the light )are just as close to the light as the top and will grow just as much. Its all about light proximity.
Another added bonus- when you bend the plant over, the plant (knows) it got bent over and it says to itself "gee i got bent over, my stem must not be strong enough." this makes the plant grow its stem much thicker and stronger than it otherwise would have. This thicker stronger stem will be able to move more plant building materials from the roots to the bud sites, meaning bigger buds. Again it makes a HUGE difference, and is very noticeable. I will ALWAYS tie my indoor plants down after seeing the difference it makes. It is very easy to do. There are an unlimited number of ways to do it. Keep reading and doing your homework. LST is definitely the way to go!!

Which way do you like to do it ? I was thinking about making a circle but I might just let them grow horizontal depending on opinions.

listn. you lst the plant so that it does not grow up like a christamas tree. so the little bud sights on the bottom that never get light are now getting as much as the main cola . now instead of having on big bud and lots of small nugs youll get multiple main colas and lots of nugs and a bushier plant instead of a christmas tree. point blank more weed to harvest i do it to all my plants

Ok, what geometrical pattern do YOU use while LST growing ?
