Putting my one plant into 12/12

I have one plant from bag seed growing right now, and I don't want to spend all this time on one plant only to find out it's a male. It's just over 3 weeks old and has 4 nodes. I just set the timers to 12/12 today and if it's a female, I'll grow her until harvest, then I'll regenerate her and grow her bigger. How does that sound? I'll post pics of the plant later.

Sounds good! You can force a single branch to show its sex early by placing a light proof bag over the individual branch and keeping it loose enough fo air to circulate, but no light getting in!
And check out these sites, the products are incredible also they have a lot of info including a hydroponics encyclopedia if you are interested.
The urban grower site has good info(nothing like you will find on Rollitup.org), but it is in video form.

I was thinking about using the light proof bag idea. I'm still working on finding a new location for my grow room. Like I said, I'll be posting pics soon.

Probably be better off cloning than attempting a reveg. Clone it now, save yourself from waiting on a reveg.
 
Anywhere. Wal-mart, home depot, any nursery. That stuff is everywhere. Most places that have a garden section have it. Get rockwool too. I started off with the kit you can buy then moved up to the stuff you can buy at the hydro shop. Look for a kit that has a humidity dome, then on youtube looked for "stoned free cloning" pretty good video on how to clone.
 
The-fatman-cometh, I'm looking for the thread on making your own hormone but I can't find it. I found one on water cloning though...

That's how I determine sex .... I will take a clone from the plant and allow it to contine in the veg stage ... I will take the clone and put it on the flowering level .... in 14 - 30 days I know the sex ... if a girl .... clone more and send the mother to flower ... if a boy .... kill him ....:neutral:

Alright, I'm going to clone it, probably using just water, maybe with some aspirin but I'm not sure because it might screw with the plant's sex. Sound okay?

That's kind of small to be cloning, give it at least another week or so. I usually take cutting from the side shoots.
 
Yeah .... you need to give that more time .... what you need to do is pinch off the top when you get another node out .... this will cause the plant to make two branches and you can use one of them to clone. Some plants will produce excellent side shoot for cloning ....

Good idea hiding it behind all that storage stuff who the hell is going to want to move all that... hows the smell @ this state in your grow.. non existent still?
