Putting clones into flowering

I know that you can pretty much put a clone into flowering in as little as a week after cutting (once the roots have formed and the cutting has settled in its new home). However, would there be any advantage to letting the clone sit in the veg room for longer periods of time before putting them to flower? Thanks!

bigger plants=bigger yeild, you could do a bunch of small single cola clones sog style, or veg less plants longer. its really a matter of personal taste how you want to do it.

Sweet, thanks for the replies! Time is not an issue so I think I'm gonna let these clones sit in veg for a while longer before putting them into the flowering tent. Thanks again!

You don't want them to get to tall before flowering, so you might want to Top, LST, SCROG or some other way of controlling height so you can get the most out of fewer plants. And use the correct size container for your plants too.

I USED to think that longer veg times equaled more bud. That is not the case anymore.
You NEED to watch this YouTube vid of a grower over in Europe.

Says he only vegged the clones for 2 days and then STRAIGHT to flower.
Dunno what he did for sure, but the end result was fantastic! Some notes from his grow:

This time I make a test to veg only two days.
After two days I put the plants into flowering.

This video is make for home growers of cannabis plants to show my setup and my way of growing.
There are a lot of different grow systems, but this is my way to grow.

Result = small plants

Thanks Cazador! If I decided to do a SOG with young clones, what size containers would I need to use? I assume once I put the cuttings into their containers, this will be their home throughout flowering and until harvest right?

Questions seem to always bring me to more questions than answers.

If you are going SOG, then your object is to have lots of small plants and flower them soon after rooting.

Now we are getting somewhere, Using this method I would say that you don't want to veg for any extra time as you want to keep the plants small and have many colas. So, my next question to you is what method of growing are you thinking/doing? Soil/soil-less, Hydro, DWC, Aero, misters, ...................? You need to be able to grow a root mass large enough to support the plant to the desired size for the 6 - 14 weeks or flower. Could be a 2" net pot of 1 gal container. Depends on what your doing
