purple strain question

Was wondering when a purple strain begins to turn purple, is it during the blooming & ripening phase or while curing ? does the process vary from plant to plant ?

I think it depends on the strain... With Qrazy Train, it seems to start getting some color change starting round week 6 of flower. That also seems to be regardless of the temps.. I am running some GDP right now (first time with this cutting of GDP) and I started to notice color change towards the end of week 3 of flower. I have never had anything change that early for me before... For most strains, I usually see the color changes start in the last half of flower. I would say usually in the last 3 weeks, is when I notice that the color changes the most... Never had anything turn purple during veg though.. Don't think you will see much color change during curing though.. After the first 3-5 days of drying, I don't think you get to many biological processes still happening with the plant.. Is there a particular strain that you are gonna run that you want to purple out?
