Purple stems?

genetics, low temps, nutrient deficiencies, a couple of different things. sometimes it can be a sign something is wrong and sometimes it doesnt mean anything is wrong. i have purple stems, people said it could have been from n-p-k problems but i think it is from low dark time temps.

could be low temps I gues, but I have my light on at night when it's cold. It might be getting below 60, does that slow it down too? maybe I'll put the ballast inside my room.

60 seems dangerous to me, i never go lower than 70 and never go higher than 90, they like arid warm temps...its a tropical plant, look where land-race strains come from..

i prefer to never go above 80. 85 is pushing it and should only be done when using co2.
any higher than that will cut production rates of sugars inside the plant and its growth will slow

but to the owner of this thread it depends on where the purpling is and what it looks like...
sometimes strains do this on their own, sometimes it is a low temperature problem but it can also be caused by a nutrient deficiency sign for the plant needing phosperous

whichever is the case i wouldent worry about it. (unless your about to flower and you need more phosperous)
