Purple Kush

Has anyone here grown this strain? I am contemplating tossing about 55 very healthy Train Wreck Diesel girls that are a month into vegging to because I heard of a person who is willing to sell 55 purple kush for 300$. Money is tight and I am going to have to make a lot of sacrifices to get these plants which are 3 weeks into veg.

Does anyone know how well they yield? How good the end product is?

Here is a post I saw on another forum

"Are you talking about the new Purple Kush, or the Orininal Purple Kush?¿ the new Purple Kush which is High Times strain of the year 2007 is suppose to be an offspring of OG kush, which is a strain from ChemDog (like most of the top strains).. The original legendary Purple Kush is a cross between Purple Afgahnistan and Hindu Kush (translation; "Killer Hindu" (love that name)), Alot has happened since the original Kush gained it's legendary status, new more powerful strains have came along. Many old timmers like me still prefer Original Kush, and Ill grab all I can get when it make a rare appearance in my town, I know there are finer strains around

***buyer beware most Purple Kush isn't actually purple, and I find more scams being ran on fake Kush than any other strain that Iv'e incountered...!!

Purple Kush and Me.....
I Usually had the finest Pot at any Party, everyone was chasing me for more. Then someone would show up with Purple Kush, and it was as if I wasn't even there, everybody wanted the Kush!!!! Many times the person with the Kush wanted what I had because in their own words "my stuff was better", I never been able to get a good reliable suppler. Oh what the hell, they all wanted the Kush, ~DÆ~

No more beers..just A hand in the Kush, A hand in the Kush, A hand in the Kush....."

Thats like asking someone if you should throw out 5 apples to make room for 5 oranges. The yield depends on the cuts you'll be getting vs the cuts you're already growing. Kush, in my opinion, is not the best yielding plant but your product will be purple and kush-like. If its a good cut of TWD that you already have working for you, why change it and lose $300 (albeit gaining 2 weeks of veg. growth) especially if "money is tight". What I am really trying to say is, why do you need some people to give you the answers that you want to hear!?

trainwreck diesel will probably yield 2-3x as much... Purple kush fucking kicks ass but yields like shit!!!!!! I love it and always grow a few for myself they take up too much space for me to grow to many of them.. DO not toss them if yor in cali Ill take them...

theres a good thread on here a few days ago about purple kush also

purple kush isnt purple when it gets to you cause the calyxes have changed colour butt kush is the whip if you get the real deal. if its organic like the purple kush i smoke around here it does smell like ass if it gets to dry.

'Kush' has become a much-abused term. I've seen various strains called "______-Kush" that were clearly something else entirely (i.e. a whole lot closer to Malawi, which is very distinctive if you know it--nothing else smells like it when it's smoked.) Some people in SoCal use 'Kush' more as a generic term for the highest quality rather than as a reference to any particular strain or derivation.

It kind of gets on my nerves, as I first really got into appreciating different strains when I was living in the Pacific NW where you are usually told precisely what it is you are getting and there is plenty of variety. In SoCal, if you really want to be confident in getting a precise strain I find it becomes necessary to visit a dispensary.

As to the OP: I certainly wouldn't tear out growing Sour Diesel to plant some mystery Kush. Eff that noise. Sour Diesel is a great strain. FWIW, when I last visited my local dispensary they had plenty of the fifteen-odd Kush strains in stock, but the Sour Diesel was sold out.

The Sr-71 purple kush im running is a slow vegger but if you can veg for a while it will yeild for you (for 50 day veg in 5 gallon of fox farm soil i've gotten 3+ ounces of rock hard nugs) Im organic so i mexican bat guano her up the ass and molasses and push here and she'll veg faster. Same with my purple gods gift another slow vegger slower than the purple kush. she really gets pushed. sometimes you may have to let the purple kush go a week or two longer to fully turn purple If sooner you'll probably get just hints.
