Purple deformed Cotyledon

This seed just sprouted and is now on day 2. It hasn't even faced up to the light let. Unfortunately I'm assuming I need to start a new seed, but I don't want to make a mistake again if I already had. Is it still good? What caused this?

Soaked cube in ph 5.8 RO water and planted seed.

let her grow, seeds do weird things sometimes

I have an update on day 4 of sprout. She faced upwards which was a good sign, but the leaves look a tint of yellow and the first true leaves are drooping downwards :( I'm ordering some rapid rooters since I'm not have good luck with rockwool. I'm going to keep this going, hopefully the leaves perk up....

Plug that hole up where the stem is. Roots don't like light. (Vampires)

Don't underestimate how much water rockwool can hold either. Seedlings really hate a lot of water.

Agree with everyone else. Just leave them be, they're / it's fine.

Yea, I'm trying to maintain 50% saturation which is about 30ml water. Assuming that roots get plenty of air through fiber air pockets that 30ml of water in a 1.5" cube should be enough. I'm also uncertain if it is too much as well.

Only reason I say, is i tried rockwool before coco. Great hydo media, but i found it difficult to get seedlings to start off well until roots started comming through the cube. Took a few / several days until they needed more.

How are you determining 50% saturation? Weighing the cube vs a dry unused one?
Not to critique. Just curious.

Pretty much that. Calculated about 55ml would fully saturate, I added that to the dry cube and weighed it. After that, I soaked the cube in water for full saturation, shook it about a bit and got only 6 more ml. These are very rough numbers to work with since plants grow etc.
