Purple Stem (2).JPG

Just over a week from seed

All the undersides of the cotyledons are purple and with the older sprout, all the stems are purple. This would be interesting. Anybody have crossed these 2 before, curious as to what is your experience?

The seeds btw are 2 weeks old from harvest, 22 germinated out of 25

I’m going through similar or at least went through something similar just 2-3 weeks ago. I never got an answer. What I will say is I started watering less and upgraded my light and added beneficial microbes and now my new growth is green. Don’t know which of those variables solved my problem. Looking at the soil though, it looks like you could be overwatering just like I was. For the first week, you just want to spray the soil directly around the seedling.

Looks fine. What strain is it? May be genetic.

Yeah, just watered it when I took the pic but you might be right. I do make sure though that there's no excess water in the jiffy when I water them

Very interesting. Never seen one like that. Hope it's a winner.
Hope so too

which incidentally during my search if anybody have crossed these 2 before. I came across Mr Nice... Shark Shock which is a cross between his Black Widow (white widow) and his skunk #1

Looks like the purple is dominant in this cross either in the leaves or flower. Didn't expect purple in this cross though, parents didn't show much of a purple although the male has purplish sac when the temp hit below 60s outside. Hope mine would look as good and potent as in those review.

Cheers

Yeah its very common. New growth could come with crazy colours too. Sometimes first true leaves may start all purple too, then they get chloropyll. Looks fine.
