I cant post pictures for now because im using a phone and it wont let me load pictures but im starting to notice a purple discolorisation in middle of stem between leaf sets. ay thoughts on what it could be.?
Could be Stress, could be the genetics of plant, don't worry too much yet unless you see effects of it on the leaves(like yellowing, drying, browning,...)
Thanks, they are mine. Going on 3 years old this month. They are brother and sister from the same litter. Their father is an AKC Champion from Michigan. I was considering showing my male, but showing is a lifestyle if you're going to win and I currently have too many lifestyles I'm trying to juggle. So he is just a pet and best friend.
I neglected to add (got to high and fell asleep) that the lower leaves on both plants started to show burnt yellowish spots so i just trimmed the part of the leaf that wuz yellow and if the leaf looked bad i would just cut it off . So far i havent seen the spots just the first plant and the purple discolorisation on the stem.
sins theres no way in hell i can get clones or seeds im growing mexican bag seed more than likely sativa, both are 29 days old.and like gkid posted hopefully thay aint meals..
I'm about 5 weeks into flower on my BB OG and its showing a purple in the middle of the stems and was starting to droop really badly. Its a huge plant with like 15 colas so I tied it up really well and it seems to be doing better. This purple stem issue caught my eye though.

Red stems are not at all uncommon. It's my observation that it's a reaction to stress. Usually you can follow the line to where the stress was. I say was because the red/purple happens after the stress occurs.
I've harvested plants that looked like a barber's poll and they were very good yields.
